Sheffield, Illinois is a quiet town located in Bureau County on Routes 6 and 34 and just south off of Interstate 80, exit 45.
Interesting facts:

It is named after Joseph Sheffield, one of the founding fathers and an engineer on the Chicago and Rock Island Railroad.

St. Peter's Danish Evanelical Lutheran Church is one of the oldest Danish Lutheran Churches in the United States. It was established October 24, 1869. It is available for weddings and funerals.

Nearby is the Hennepin Canal Parkway Visitor's Center and Museum. The Henepin Canal and Feeder Canal is used by many for the fishing opportunities, biking, horse back riding and more.
